To place a storage bin, storage pod, or dumpster in the right-of-way of San Mateo County's unincorporated districts requires an encroachment permit from the Department of Public Works.
NOTE: Items placed in county right of way without permit, blocking sight distance, sidewalks, or bike lanes may be subject to fines.
